KFB Training Centre for the Teachers of the Visually Handicapped, Kottappuram, Palakkad

KFB Training Centre for the Teachers of the Visually Handicapped is functioning in the campus of Helen Keller Centenary Memorial Model School for the Blind, Kottappuram, Palakkad. This Centtre was started in 1994 in collaboration with National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities, Dehradun and it is recognized by the Rahabilitation Council of India. Two year Diploma course - Diploma in Education, Special Education (Visually Impaired) is running in the institute. Former Sreekrishnapuram MLA Smt. K.S. Saleekha, sanctioned fund from MLA Fund for constructing a class room for this training centre. Ottappalam MLA Sri. M. Hamsa also granted fund from MLA Fund for a class room.
